Moviecollector's elusive Old Schedules project
This page contains a series of reports. I am not affiliated with TCM, though I respect and admire the actual TCM employees and various movie restoration experts for their years of hard work. This presents info from all the old TCM schedules I could come up with, in order to have as complete a picture as possible (see bottom of page for missing months).
I believe this might be of interest to movie fans who might be trying to track down rare or hard-to-find movies, just to see if they might still exist, as well as to view historical scheduling patterns. These pages get updated by me once a month.
Any ideas just PM me on the forums.
Total TV slots - a count of all the time slots on TCM within given period (larger numbers)
Unique Features - a count of all the unique features on TCM within given period (smaller numbers)
TCM Schedules Summary
- an alphabetic listing of the Unique Features put together. It is large and may take a while to open.
- a subset of the TCM Schedules Summary report.
It lists features in chronological order which occur for the first time. (As per "Last Updated" date at top of report)
Below the numbers get smaller and more significant, only features 45 min or longer are counted.
Reports #3 & #4
A count of Unique Features, movies only (>44 min, no shorts, no TV series episodes or serials, some TV movies & TV specials)
Reports #5 & #6
A count of movies scheduled 7x or less over the entire timeframe of schedules I have. Rarities are cumulative up to each year.
Reports #7 & #8
A count of films from "non-TCM-library" studios. These aren't as precise as the previous reports, but are still a rough indicator.
By "non-TCM library", only films from these specific following production companies are excluded, smaller acquisitions and other related films are not accounted for:
MGM, RKO, Warner Bros, First National, Vitaphone, United Artists, Goldwyn, Monogram, Associated Artists, Hanna-Barbera, Castle Rock, New Line Cinema, Turner, Allied Artists, Rankin/Bass, Lorimar, Ruby-Spears, Fleischer Studios.
Reports #9 & #10
A count of films from "non-TCM-library studios", and those only shown 7x or less.
That's that for now.

Rarity Scheduling Lists
Here is a Movies-only listing (based on Report #3), sorted by last-played date (on far right of page). Movies that haven't played in a while will be towards the top, current or future scheduled movies towards the bottom. It is large and may take a while to open.
Movies Only, sorted by last-scheduled
Here is another Movies-only listing (also based on Report #3), sorted by number of times shown, then by last-played date (both on far right of page). Movies that have only played once will be towards the top, multiple times towards the bottom. Within each of those groups, they are listed in order of last played. It is large and may take a while to open.
Movies Only, sorted by times-shown & last-scheduled
Here are some lists of movies that I don't believe were scheduled within the timeframe of TCM schedules I have.
I decided not to list shorts here because they weren't always included on the schedules. Genre must not be "Short", and Duration must be 45 min or longer. [Some earlier shorts of unknown duration may be listed.]
These reports are all generated monthly, along with the main TCM Schedules Summary, so the "last updated" date and header on the top of that applies to all of these reports as well.
Ordered by year, and then alphabetically within each year, to make it easier to find movies from similar time periods.
Moviecollector's Missing Months
All months are accounted for from Dec 2000 - present.
MISSING MONTHS - I'm still looking for these monthly schedules:
[this "missing months" list updated last on Oct 20 2017]
May-Jun 1994 (TCM went on air in May, not sure these even existed)
If you have any of these months, maybe you could help me fill them in. I would prefer the original HTML files or original mailers (flatbed-scanned or copied). PM me for further details if you want to help.
